The Osceola turkey is a unique and highly sought after subspecies of the wild turkey since they are found only in Florida. This turkey gets its name from the famous Seminole Indian, Chief Osceola.  The Osceola turkey is the smallest and one of the most challenging subspecies of turkey to hunt.

Although turkeys are active during all hours of the day, most experienced hunters will tell you that the best time for turkey hunting is at the crack of dawn.  Turkey hunting takes a lot of patience, but it is enjoyable to be out in the woods in the early morning just looking and listening for wildlife.  At Wild Florida Airboats, we offer guided turkey hunting trips.  The highly anticipated spring turkey season runs the third weekend in March through the third weekend in April.
